About the project
Wallet Checker is a non-commercial portfolio project. It checks a TRON address before a USDT deal — sanctions, Tether freezes, counterparties and connections — and explains the result in plain language.
Why
In P2P and OTC deals people send USDT to addresses they know nothing about. Professional screening tools are built for compliance teams: expensive and complex. The goal is a clear verdict in one click and a PDF you can attach to the deal.
How it works
- Next.js 16 (App Router, React 19, server components), hosted on Vercel.
- TRON data from the public TronGrid API: balances, up to 400 latest USDT transfers, counterparties.
- The USDT freeze is read directly from the USDT-TRC20 contract (isBlackListed).
- Sanctions: the official OFAC SDN export and the OpenSanctions API — lists of many countries, entity attribution and recorded relationships.
- Risk engine: each finding has a weight (90 / 45 / 15 / 0); the score is the most serious finding plus 15% of the rest; levels 0–34, 35–69, 70–100.
- PDF report built with @react-pdf/renderer and a SHA-256 checksum; connection map with Cytoscape.js; UI and PDF in English and Russian.
- Optional account (Supabase): saved reports and daily address monitoring.
Key decisions
- The engine is language-agnostic: it returns finding codes and the text comes from dictionaries — the same for the site and the PDF.
- If a data source fails, the report says “incomplete check” instead of a false “low risk”.
- Every finding is explained in plain language with advice on what to do.
- People and companies are shown only from official lists, with a note that an address match is not proof of guilt.
